Called beforehand to check if open and was asked if we wanted to preorder. Service was polite, watched all our food being cooked fresh. Nice touches were a slice of lemon and homemade tartare sauce. Food was priced ok, staff were friendly, place looked clean- no complaints

Just moved into the area and thought to give Bovey fish bar a try and boy, I am glad I did. The chaps in there a top notch and so friendly even offered me some home made tartar sauce. Which was lovely btw. Chips very nice, fish on the smaller side but packed full of flavour and the batter was top notch! You can tell they frequently change the frying oil! Can only recommend and I'll be back for sure! Thanks chaps, really enjoyed my fish and chips 😊

Perfectly cooked fresh haddock and chips! 10/10 Crispy batter, succulent fish, lemon and tartare included. Chips lovely and fresh, good mix of chunky chips and a few crispy bits. Asked how I’d like it wrapped and how much S&V. Friendly service and great food, will visit again!

Visited while on holiday in Devon, we had cod, plaice, sausage and chips between us and all were excellent quality and very tasty. Lemon and tartar sauce offered with the fish too! The staff were efficient and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Would thoroughly recommend.
